After growing up in the Phillippines and attending high school in Switzerland, Monique Lhullier picked up a brochure for the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles and decided on the spot to attend.

Monique arrived in Los Angeles without even knowing how to sew, yet she was determined and hard-working. She stayed an extra year to obtain her Advanced Degree, then while planning her own wedding saw that she could easily run her own line of high-end couture wedding dresses and gowns. 

She opened her first store in the early 1990s and has been successful ever since.
