The brand was established in 1999 by Anne Barge Clegg. Inspired by bridal wear from a young age after attending several wedding ceremonies with her mother, a concert pianist, the Georgia native pursued design school after graduating from the University of Georgia. From her first storefront in Atlanta to her many locations overseas, Clegg has solidified her title as a master of timeless style.
In addition to her position as the founder, Clegg serves as the creative director of the company. The current owner and president is Shawne Jacobs, who had previously worked with the designer for over a decade.
Today, Clegg runs three of her own successful bridal collections (Anne Barge Bridal Collection, Blue Willow Bride, and Black Label). Her gowns are featured everywhere from the pages of international publications such as Vogue and The New York Times to the Hollywood red carpet on celebrities such as Kristen Cavallari and Yvonne Orji.
