Lela Rose

As a young woman growing up in Texas and attending school in Colorado, Lela Rose was inspired by the landscapes, colors and the nature that surrounded her.  She stills draws from these inspirations in all that she designs.

After graduating in 1993 from the Parson’s School of Design, Rose began working with designers Richard Tyler and Christian Francis Roth.  5 years later, she was showing her own collection of hand-finished and intricately designed couture gowns, separates, dresses and outerwear.  She has become know for her appreciation for detail, chic sophistication and her ability to combine the casual with luxury.

In 2006 Lela Rose turned her keen eye toward the bridal industry and debuted the Lela Rose Wedding collection.  As expected, she used only the most stunning fabrics to create her exquisite wedding gowns.  She has now partnered with The Dessy Group for a bridesmaid gown and cocktail dress collection.  Her designs can be found at Nordstrom, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and internationally in Australia, Canada, Ireland, Japan, Singapore and the United Kingdom.

Her designs can be found on Hollywood’s, and even the worlds, most elite.  She counts among her devotees Jessica Chastain, Jessica Alba, Mindy Kaling, Sophia Bush, Jenna and Barbara Bush, Connie Britton, Emily Blunt, Kim Kardashian, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Ashley Judd, Fist Lady Michelle Obama and even Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (Kate Middleton).  She has also been featured in People Magazine, Town & Country, Martha Stewart Weddings, The Knot, Brides and Harper’s Bazaar.
