Founder of Liancarlo and native of Miami, Florida, Carlos Ramirez says design is “part of “who he is.  The pride and care he takes in his creative designs is evident in all of his gowns.

As the son of a Cuban immigrant, his path to becoming a world class couture bridal designer was not direct.  His love of structure and creating first began leading him toward a career in architecture, but he ultimately decided to attend law school after achieving academic success and receiving a full scholarship.  The love of design did not abate and in the end he took his own advice and followed “the thread that means something to you.”  He turned down an internship at a law firm and instead began venturing down a new path, high-end couture bridal gowns.  He successfully designed, constructed and sold sample gowns he made in his mother’s sewing studio.  It was that success that solidified his love of structure and zeal for creating into a new career.

Ramirez’s desire to create beautiful, classic, never boring or trendy gowns is proof of his commitment to making one-of-a-kind pieces that make his clients feel special, timeless and gorgeous.  He wants people “to remember how beautiful the bride was, not what a beautiful dress the bride wore”.  He considers each of his designs part of himself and truly feels they should become part of the person who wears them as well.
