Tracy Uomoleale, the head designer for Priscilla of Boston, became interested in fashion as a young girl growing up in Houston. She would go on shopping trips with her mother, wander off to gaze at the wedding gowns in showroom windows, then go back home and draw her own version of the dresses she saw.

After graduating from the University of North Texas with a degree in business marketing, Tracy Uomoleale moved to New York and became a student at the Parsons School of Design. She got her start designing for Liz Claiborne and by 2007 she was named head designer for Priscilla of Boston.

Platinum for Priscilla of Boston dresses have two distinct features: liberal use of natural fabrics coupled with exquisite hand-finished details.

The fabrics most often used are gossamer silk organza, silk satin and silk chiffon.

Intricate finishing details include beading, crystals and threadwork.

The Priscilla of Boston line burst onto the scene by designing the wedding dresses for the daughters of President Lyndon Johnson and> President Richard Nixon.

Priscilla of Boston also dressed the bridesmaids for Grace Kelly's wedding to Prince Ranier of Monaco in 1956.
