How To Measure:
When purchasing your gown, never go by the gown’s size tag, since bridal gowns usually run 1-2 sizes smaller than usual daywear sizes, depending on the designer and the style of the gown. We always suggest measuring yourself and comparing your measurements to the measurements listed for each gown. Measure yourself with just your undergarments on, looking straight ahead, standing up straight and with your arms down at your sides. Make sure to measure through the fullest parts of your bust, waist and hips. (Please keep in mind to "not" go by your bra size for your bust measurement, since it is a totally different measurement.) It’s always best to have a friend help for the most accurate measurements.
Will my height work with this gown?
When comparing your height to the length of each gown, please compare your hollow to hem measurement to the hollow to hem measurement of each gown. This measurement is “not” your actual height. The hollow to hem measurement is the measurement from the base of your neck (where your collar bones meet in the middle and it divets in) to the hem of where you would like to hem of the gown to end. When measuring, always make sure to have a friend help, since you will need to stand up straight and look straight ahead without looking down when taking this measurement. It is always a good idea to have the same or similar shoe height on that you plan to wear the day of the wedding. Although, please know that most brides of average height do not need to worry about the length of the gown being too short. Most brides will need their gown hemmed to the perfect length by their bridal seamstress, which is absolutely normal.
Most bridal gowns can be altered at least 1-2 sizes smaller, however, couture bridal gowns usually can not be let out (made larger), since the interior seams are notched for the best couture fit. We suggest consulting a local professional, experienced bridal seamstress so he/she can give you their opinion on whether they personally would be able to do the alterations. Our past brides have had positive success with taking the listed pictures to their local bridal seamstress to see if it is possible. You may also use our wonderful, no risk return policy, in order to take the gown directly to your bridal seamstress upon delivery of your gown to acquire his/her professional opinion.

We ship all of our gowns through the United Parcel Service (UPS) for United States addresses and the United States Postal Service (USPS) for International addresses. All of our gown shipments are sent fully insured and with signature required to insure that your gown arrives safely to your location. We provide a number of different shipping options for United States addresses, such as UPS ground, UPS 3 day, UPS 2 day or UPS overnight service, so that you can receive your dream dress as quickly as possible.
Our shipping rates include postage, full insurance, signature required (for gowns and select packages), and a small handling fee for packaging supplies.
Most of our smaller items (accessories), such as sashes, headpieces, veils, etc. will be shipped by the United States Postal Service (USPS) unless you would personally choose the United Parcel Service (UPS) service at checkout.
International addresses (Non-U.S.):
Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding / buying. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up. Please do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.

We know that you will love your designer gown and accessories! However, if you need to return an item, we are happy to help. We want to make sure that you feel confident purchasing your gown and accessories from Your Dream Dress and you’re thrilled with your purchase!
United States Brides:
When you receive the gown or accessory, you will need to contact us by email or telephone within (3) three days of receiving (signing for) to state if you will be keeping the item or returning it. The item would then need to be shipped back by UPS, Fedex or USPS, fully insured (for your protection) and be received by us within (7) seven business days in the same condition as it was sent. Once we receive the item back at our location we will inspect it and, if in the same condition as the item was sent to you, we will refund the price of the item. The shipping to you and from you would not be refunded, only the cost of the item. If we would not hear from you within (3) three days of receiving (signing for) the item, we would consider the item satisfactory and no returns/refunds would be accepted.
