* The Mermaid and Trumpet Gowns: A mermaid-style red Reem Acra gown was shown off, flattering Eva Longoria’s body on the red carpet. These gowns are definitely growing in popularity- mostly because they are sexy gowns that are fitted to the body all the way to the knees (some to the upper thighs), and then flare outward. They can be very flattering with the right body! Although seen in some lace, the material popularly used with this trend is mainly silk organzas.

*The Full and Detailed Skirts: There have been more and more gowns seen on the red carpet, and more so in bridal fashion, that have intricate pieces of fabrics layered upon each other.
