The History of the Theia Collection:

When a collection is created with the express purpose of bringing out a woman’s inner goddess, you know the designer, craftsmanship and materials all have to be amazing! The Theia collection definitely stands up to these lofty goals.

The designer of this ethereal line of gowns is Don O’Neill, native Irishman and connoisseur of elegance and sophistication. Drawing inspiration from his mother’s own gorgeous wardrobe of gowns and couture suits, O’Neill’s creations are made of only the finest European brocades, silks and prints and embellishments with couture beading and embroideries.

O’Neill’s passion for fashion has taken him from his small village in the west of Ireland, to Dublin, London, Paris, and finally, New York where he was hired first, by Carmen Marc Valvo as Design Director, and then 10 years later by Badgley Mischka to spearhead their Platinum Label line. Under his direction, the Badgley Mischka Platinum Label grew immensely, garnering praise and achieving incredible success.

O’Neill now serves THEIA as its Creative Director. From the start of his tenure in the Fall of 2009, the line has received rave review and was at once bought by Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdales, as well as several high-end specialty stores throughout the world. It’s not just retailers that have fallen in love with THEIA, since its launch, Carrie Underwood and notable magazines and entertainment outlets such as People Magazine, Life & Style, Us Weekly, E! News, InStyle.com and Glamour.com have also proclaimed their love and devotion for O’Neill and his goddess-worthy creations!
